MEDICAL ASSISTANT

MSPB is looking for a full time MEDICAL ASSISTANT for a busy Internal Medicine concierge practice in Atlantis. This person must have at least 2 years’ experience in a medical environment.  Good computer skills.  Athena a plus. Excellent communication skills when speaking with patients. Duties will include patient care, vitals, EKG’s, administer injections, occasional blood draws, returning patient calls and communicating test results. PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Part time PHYSICAL THERAPIST needed for outpatient rehab facility located in Lake Worth, FL. This position provides physical therapy services to a wide range of adult and geriatric patients. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: provide Physical Therapy evaluations for patients and develop the appropriate treatment plans. Provides one on one physical therapy treatments. Candidates should hold a current FL PT license, have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience. PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT

MSPB is looking for a part time Physical Therapist Assistant. This position is very flexible with no weekends. Assist patient preparing for therapy and return trip. Assist with dressing and undressing; removing and putting on braces or supportive equipment, prostheses, crutches, etc.
Document all aspects of the treatment in an S.O.A.P. note format. Record data progress during therapy session.

  • Keep patients on task and navigate with a professional attitude through patient originated conflicts.
  • Answer questions from patients regarding their conditions and educate them on it within their scope of practice effectively and efficiently.
  • Measure and track range of motion.
  • Perform administrative duties
  • Answer inquiries from patients
  • Able to lift and support the extremities of patients during range of motions and positioning activities.
  • Straighten and clean rooms.
  • Ability to guard patients with walking and keep them safe at all times while in the clinic.
  • Able to bend and squat with proper body mechanics.
  • Know proper precautions of frequent exposure to Biohazards materials (blood, radiation, and body fluids).
  • Knowledge of how to property lift heavy objects including patients, lead, and equipment.
  • Assist patients by keeping track of counting exercises.
  • Clean and prepare equipment for therapy session.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Must have a Physical Therapy Assistant license from the state of Florida and a degree from an accredited institution.

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a medical setting with clinical or formal medical training in a trade school with a certificate preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of CPT, ICD-10 codes and Athena a plus.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Able to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Flexible to handle unexpected daily challenges
  • Knowledge of insurance carrier payment policies, practices, and amounts.
  • Excellent oral and written organizational skills, with ability to be flexible and deal effectively with staff, physicians, and patients.

DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING SCHEDULER

MSPB is looking for a Full Time DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING SCHEDULER in Lake Worth. Will need to be accountable for scheduling various complex Imaging procedures and conveying preparations for procedures to patients. The candidate will be responsible for some coding logistics, appropriate CPT and ICD 10 combinations, current and historical patient medical histories, accurate collection of patient demographics and medical insurance information a must. You will be required to work in a fast-paced, high-call volume environment, manage all physician orders in a timely and efficient manner. Effectively communicate with patients, Imaging Department and referring physician offices. Provide superior customer service and service recovery. Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, Excel and Word. High school diploma or equivalent. Qualified candidates must have 2 years or more medical clerical experience. Knowledge and experience with Athena healthcare operating system and EHR experience preferred. Bi-lingual, Spanish/English preferred. SCHEDULING COORDINATOR

Medical Specialists of the Palm Beaches (MSPB), is looking for a Full Time SCHEDULING COORDINATOR for a busy Cardio office in Atlantis, FL. A positive, team-oriented, can-do attitude is required to succeed in this role. 2-3 years prior experience in a medical office setting is required. Duties will include every aspect of the scheduling process including scheduling urgent, new, and follow appointments, cancelling and rescheduling appointments as necessary. The individual will register new patients verifying all demographic and insurance information making corrections as needed. The selected candidate will advise patient of financial responsibilities when scheduling appointments. Must be able to handle heavy phones, comprehension of insurance plans and rules (HMO’s, PPO’s, MDCR) Excellent oral, written and organizational skills are required with a caring and professional demeanor. You are a very important part of our team and are the face of our practice. EHR/Athena experience a plus. Must demonstrate excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills. Must display a caring and professional demeanor and be able to multi-task and handle interruptions with good judgment and attention to details. Ability to handle high volume work load independently with minimal amount of supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills. MSPB is looking for a full time Medical Records Clerk for a busy Internal Medical Practice Office in Boynton Beach.  This position will be responsible for the fulfillment of Medical Records/History.  Minimum 2 years in a medical office setting.  Answers written and telephone requests for medical records or information, prepare billing according to established standards and process payments, prepare records for release to patients, legal representatives and other providers. APPOINTMENT SCHEDULER

MSPB is looking for a full time Appointment Scheduler for a busy Internal medical practice in Boynton Beach.  Will be responsible for providing professional customer service by displaying a professional and caring demeanor while obtaining information necessary to attend to the appointment schedules.  Responsible for scheduling future patient appointments and rescheduling as changes to doctors’ schedules arise.  Cross-trained to back-up the front desk position.  Schedules, cancels and reschedules patient appointments. Registers new patients verifying all demographic and insurance information making corrections as needed. Uses online eligibility verification tools (i.e. Navinet, Availity). Updates patient demographics and insurance information on established patients to maintain accuracy. Maintains and updates current information on physician schedules ensuring that patients are scheduled properly. Advises patient of financial responsibilities when scheduling appointments.

Answering incoming calls and forwards the calls to appropriate staff. Communicates with front desk staff regarding changes in Providers schedules (add-ons, cancellations, reschedules) for that current day. Ability to work with staff and multiple Providers requests simultaneously.  1-2 years’ experience in a medical office setting.  Knowledge of Athena a plus. PATIENT FINANCIAL SPECIALIST

The Revenue Cycle Management department of the Medical Specialist of the Palm Beaches is looking for a Full-time Patient Financial Specialist.  This position is in Lake Worth, FL.  Must be able to manage patient accounts receivable effectively by arranging payments, auditing practices for the time of service collection. Needs the ability to comprehend explanation of benefits (EOB’s) and complex billing situations. Review time of service (TOS) collections to ensure correct account posting. Will monitor credit balances on patient accounts to ensure refunds are made timely. Maintain performance measurements to ensure A/R and revenue cycle goals are met. Communicate with physician offices regarding collection of patient debt. Assist patients with a high level of customer service regarding balance origination, resolution, payment plans, and application.  Ensures that offices collect and process co-pays correctly. High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of experience in medical billing/collections. Knowledge of Athena is a plus. Must be bilingual English/Spanish.  Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, Excel and Word. BILLING SPECIALIST

Full Time BILLING SPECIALIST needed for our new Endocrinology office working at the corporate office in Lake Worth, FL. Must have experience with insurance fee schedules, billing guidelines, navigating payer website to research LCD’s & billing guidelines and contracts. Knowledge of medical terminology is a must. Ability to handle a high volume of work with comfort and confidence. Capability to work as a member of a team and independently with minimal amount of supervision. Knowledge with Athena, ICD-10 and CPT codes for the purpose of billing and collecting. Current comprehension of insurance plans and rules (HMO’s, PPO’s, and Medicare). Must demonstrate excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills. Understanding of CPTs and Modifiers. High school diploma with three years related experience working in a medical/billing office required. OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

 

Per Diem OT needed for Rehab practice in Lake Worth.  This OT will be responsible for providing OT services. This position is responsible for evaluating and providing treatment to a wide range of adult and geriatric patients. The Occupational Therapist develops an appropriate rapport with patients, loved ones, referring doctors and other stakeholders in creating a therapeutic environment for health care delivery.  Must be able to answer questions from patients, referring doctors, and others regarding conditions. In addition, it is expected that the Occupational Therapist will work within the scope of their practice. The Occupational Therapist will maintain licensure as required by law.

 

  • Provides proper evaluations and treatments to patients
  • Encourages staff members and colleagues for the betterment of Rehab
  • Motivates staff to practice at the highest capability
  • Leads by example for others in time management, attendance practices, schedule utilization, and patient satisfaction
  • Educates referring providers and other MSPB staff outside of MSPB Rehab regarding the value of OT in medical treatment plans
  • Maintains responsibility for execution of, and adherence to company policies.
  • Develops and monitors programs designed to improve the quality of health care delivery including outcome measurement and performed efficiencies.
  • Maintains professional development as required by law.
  • Answer questions from patients regarding their conditions and educate them on it within their scope of practice effectively and efficiently.
  • Answer questions, address concerns, and help craft treatment plan with referring providers.
  • Records data through therapy sessions. Monitors data recorded by subordinate staff.
  • Consults with unit coordinator or mentor regarding patient’s condition and treatment plan when necessary.
  • Demonstrates appropriate safety measure when implementing treatment program.
  • Documents patient’s initial evaluation within the department guidelines. During the evaluation process, daily notes are required to reflect that day’s evaluation results.
  • Documentation should be performed on day of service and in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to function independently.
  • Successful completion of a college degree from an APTA accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Must possess Florida state license.
  • Knowledgeable of Athena, CPT and ICD-10 codes a plus

NURSE PRACTITIONER

Busy Internal Medicine office looking for a Part Time Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) in Boynton Beach, FL. M/W/F preferred. 8-4. Can be a new graduate. Required qualifications: Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, Master’s degree in Nursing, and/or post-masters.  Must hold current license/registration to practice in the state of Florida and have prescriptive privileges or eligible to apply.  This position requires an organized, adaptable and hardworking individual who values the highest level of patient care.  Qualified candidates must have a strong desire to learn new skills, be an effective listener and be an efficient provider of care.  You must be able to communicate effectively and personably with patients and maintain positive relationships with patients and their families to ensure patient needs are met timely and accurately. You will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to Physicians to offer exceptional health care services to our patients. Clinical duties involve both direct (in person) and indirect (via phone and/or on-line) patient care activities requiring complex clinical knowledge and skills.  The ARNP is expected to have competent observational, clinical, critical thinking, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills in order to meet patient needs and contribute to a positive care experience and work environment.

Excellent written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients and families is required. Analytical skills and exercise sound judgment are necessary for this position to evaluate patient status, procedures and monitor quality patient care.  Requires 2 years’ experience of direct patient care and have a valid Florida driver license. Experience with electronic medical records and strong computer skills are preferred.
