MSPB, Behavioral Health

Hello, South Florida! As one of the newest members of Medical Specialists of the Palm Beaches, I would like to welcome you to 2018 and introduce myself. I am Joshua Simon, LCSW. I specialize in treating adolescents, adults, and the elderly who are experiencing depression, anxiety disorders, family and relationship issues, addiction, and life transitions. Life coaching is also one of my areas of expertise. I graduated from Barry University (year) with a B.S. in Social Work. I continued my education by completing a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work at Arizona State University in 2009. Subsequently, I have gained over 10 years of experience providing high quality therapy and intervention to individuals and families. This blog will be a bi-monthly series focusing on behavioral and mental health.
With each new chapter of our lives, we attempt to reset, refocus, and strive to achieve the best version of ourselves. New Year’s resolutions tend to focus on a new diet or exercise regimen. Perhaps, we even consider revamping our financial strategy. Far too often, our behavioral and mental health takes a backseat when January rolls around. If we truly hope to realize success and happiness in our lives, achieving a positive state of mental health is of paramount importance.
I am very proud to serve the community in which I was raised. As a psychotherapist, I am passionate about making my clients feel comfortable in a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere. It is my goal to help you enhance your quality of life and regain a stronger identity. With the combination of solution focused and supportive counseling, we will work together to determine the best course of action that fits your specific needs. Let’s start off 2018 together and tackle emotional and psychological health with the same fervor as other resolutions.
Keep an eye out for the next post in the series when I discuss stress management techniques. Until next time, Stay inspired, South Florida.
