Dr. Cassandra Mateo earned her medical degree from Instituto de Santo Domingo (INTEC) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Following graduation, she completed an Internal Medicine Preliminary Residency at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, and a Neurology Residency at Hahnemann-MCP University Hospitals in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

She has also completed two fellowships: Adult Clinical Epilepsy & EEG at the University of Pennsylvania and an Epilepsy mini-fellowship at Wake Forest University.

Dr. Mateo is affiliated with JFK Medical Center and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
