Dr. Christopher Hawk joined the MSPB Cardiology team as an Interventional Cardiologist in August 2018. He was drawn to join the MSPB Cardiology group because of his strong interest in complex coronary artery and structural heart disease.

 

He was raised in Maryland where he participated in many community activities including Boy Scouts, earning the rank of Eagle Scout. Dr. Hawk went on to complete his undergraduate studies at Boston College, graduating Cum Laude with a major in philosophy.  He volunteered his time on campus and in various social programs that supported positive change in under-served populations in the community.

 

Dr. Hawk moved to South Florida in 2007 to attend medical school at the University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Hawk’s passion for service grew during this time with philanthropic efforts in medicine, both in the U.S. and abroad. After completing his Internal Medicine residency at New York’s Columbia – New York Presbyterian Hospital in 2014, Dr. Hawk returned to South Florida to complete his Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

 

He has presented on such topics as Venous Congestion and Aortic Stenosis.

Dr. Hawk is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology .  

 

Dr. Hawk cares for MSPB Cardiology patients in area hospitals including JFK, Wellington Regional, Palms West, and Bethesda.

 

He speaks English and Spanish.

 

When he’s not practicing Medicine, Dr. Hawk enjoys fishing, surfing and beach volleyball.
