Steven Kirschner, M.D.
Dr. Steven Kirschner was born in Brooklyn, New York and obtained his medical degree from Universidad Nordestana. He completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Kirschner has 34 years of experience practicing gastroenterology in Providence, Rhode Island. He has special interests in inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer and reflux disease.
Dr. Kirschner is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a fellow of The American College of Gastroenterology. He has been the Chief of the Department of Gastroenterology at Landmark Medical Center in Rhode Island since 1993, and a consulting physician at The Miriam Hospital, a Brown University teaching facility. Dr. Kirschner is a past President of the Rhode Island Gastroenterology Society.
Dr. Kirschner is married and has 2 of his 3 sons living locally in Florida. In addition to English, Dr. Kirschner speaks Spanish, Hebrew and Yiddish. He is excited to relocate to Florida and use his expertise to positively affect patients’ medical outcomes.
