Mrs. Marites Velasquez is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) who has been with MSPB since August 2020. She is a family Nurse Practitioner at MSPB Internal Medicine, focusing on assessment of patient needs, diagnosing illness and disease, prescribing medications, formulating treatment plans, and ordering and analyzing laboratory and diagnostic tests.
 

Mrs. Velasquez has been practicing as a board certified APRN since 2006. She graduated from San Juan de Dios College of Nursing,  Philippines  with her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing in 1987 and Barry university, Miami Florida in 2006 with her Master of Science in Nursing degree. She was the recipient first honor for both clinical and academic excellence in her BSN class of 1987. She is also a member of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International and Lambda Chi Chapter.
 

Mrs. Velasquez worked as a Registered Nurse in the surgical area of St. Lukes Hospital in NYC, SUNY Stonybrook, Mather General hospital in Port Jefferson NY,  Palms West Hospital and JFK Medical Center. As a board certified Nurse practitioner, she worked in Internal medicine office, retail health with Walgreens and CVS clinics as well as for Baptist Health urgent care. She was a surgical first assist in various hospitals and surgery-centers in Palm Beach county.

She takes a special interest in everything that concerns her patients. She considers her profession as her passion. Her personal satisfaction is to be able to cater to the needs of her patients. 

 

She loves to spend her free time with her family especially taking care of her grandson. She also likes to go out with her husband and speak to her children and other family members.
